The school is designated as a Group 3 Junior School with a September roll of 350 children. The school is situated on the eastern side of Luton in an area known as Stopsley. Stopsley was once a small village, but it has grown in recent years. It is a very popular part of Luton because of its close proximity to open countryside, and excellent local amenities.
The school was opened in 1967 and caters for a large part of Stopsley. It is a double storey building consisting of a large hall, eight classrooms, two resource areas, administration corridor and a kitchen. Close to the main building is a purpose built annexe housing four classrooms, a large purpose built PC suite, a medical room, and resource areas for Science, Maths, Art, Pottery and Design Technology. There is a well equipped library situated in the main building. The school has extensive grassed areas and a large hard core area with playground markings.
